2024 trend predictions are a huge hit when it comes to guessing what will make this year memorable. It’s hard to see exactly what things will be popularized and mass-consumed, but it’s safe to say we’re in for a year of more fun trends that will make the school year memorable.

School can get pretty tough when it becomes the new year and the second semester starts, but there’s always enough goofiness that you can add with your friends to make it so much more fun during the year. The most fun trend that the school will have is making new clubs for everyone to feel included, some that include new activities like truck shows and small businesses.

When I talk about truck shows, I’m talking about passed-down trucks/vehicles, basically ones that have stories behind them. You can cherish the year 2024 by being more creative, being more out there and making new friends, meeting new people. We should also start a new club for people who are interested in makeup, doing hair, lashes, nails, waxing, hairstyling and eyebrows. Things like that can make the LHS school year so much more memorable, and inclusive trends that will make for a more inclusive 2024.

In terms of material trends, in 2023 we saw Stanley cups, Ugg slippers sold out everywhere, everything came in Barbie pink, and anything Taylor Swift touched turned to gold (shoutout to the Chiefs). Even flare jeans made a comeback. It’s safe to say that if it’s trending in the halls of LHS, then it’s trending outside of these walls too. 

Trends are more than pop culture’s history. But as the saying goes, “Out with the old and in with the new.” 

My 2024 trend predictions are that Yetis will replace Stanley cups, Patagonia will be “ it” gear, flip phones are going to make a comeback, and borrow your grandpa’s T-shirts because athletic and comfortable fashion will be in. 

Other trend predictions include big belts, bold jewelry, and graphics. No matter what the trends end up being, making them good ones.
