For the 2024 holidays, several fast-food chains in Logansport have added or replicated the iconic “Peppermint White Mocha” to their menus. These places include Dunkin’, Starbucks, Scooter’s, Dairy Queen and the LHS Berry Bean. These coffees were evaluated based on affordability, taste, texture, aesthetics and festivity. After calculating the complete score for each quota, they have been ranked from what’s better to spend your money to the worst drinks you need to run away from.

Starbucks has added the Peppermint White Mocha back to its menu. Although it is much more expensive than other options, it is often seen as the best place to go. Some menu items at Starbucks are overhyped simply because they belong under the Starbucks franchise. However, this drink is exceptional in everything except the price. For a total of $5.65, you can get a rich and creamy taste of Peppermint and White Mocha.

The aftertaste of Dunkin’s Peppermint Mocha Signature Iced Latte is a monster to your taste buds. The price is on the lower end, but at that point, it’s better to spend the extra cents for a delight at Scooter’s. Contrary to Sangkeo’s argument, don’t go to Dunkin’ if you don’t like the strong taste of coffee, as it is better to take the sleigh to Scooter’s.

Dairy Queen is known for its Blizzards, so the texture is a bit thicker with chunks of candy cane and chocolate. Unlike the other options, the taste is more bland since it has a vanilla base. The Dairy Queen Candy Cane Blizzard is made for people who love weird combinations. The price is also on the more expensive side, meaning the best part about the drink is the presentation.

Scooter’s Coffee came out on top, they aced almost every portion of the requirement. They sell their Peppermint White Mocha in a fashionable cup with Christmas decor. A small-sized drink consists of a smooth base of sweet flavors for $4.25. However, this is still not as affordable for an everyday option, unlike the Berry Bean.

“The Scooter’s Mr. Mint Mocha was very good,” freshman Marissa Sangkeo said. “It has perfect peppermint, sweetness and coffee ratio. The only con is that it is extremely expensive, seven dollars is actually kinda crazy to me, so if you want to go somewhere I would go to Dunkin, which is much cheaper by one or two whole dollars. Overall, I would rate it an eight-point five out of ten.”

For those who don’t like coffee, several fast-food chains have been selling snacks. However, the bad thing is that the size is quite small compared to the price. At McDonald’s, you can enjoy a holiday pie consisting of cream filling and colorful sprinkles for just $1.18.
