As the end of the school year approaches, the Class of 2025 will have to decide what they will be doing for the summer and where they will be going after graduation.

Anderson Woodhouse, an Eagle Scout in the Boy Scouts of America, shares his plan for the summer and his plans after graduation.

“For the summer, I am planning on being the Pool Director at Camp Buffalo,” Woodhouse said. “I want to do something with scouting, even though I will be aged out, and camp staff is the perfect way to do so. I am planning on going to college in the fall. I am going to Purdue Fort Wayne and studying Engineering, however, I don’t know exactly which branch yet.”

Valeria Cortes is a senior at Logansport High School. Valeria shares her plans for the summer and future education.

“This summer, I’m excited to be working at Muehlhausen Aquatic Center as an Assistant Manager,” Cortes said. “It’s a great opportunity because I’ll be able to gain some valuable work experience while also being around something I love, like swimming and helping others. I’m planning to attend Indiana University Kokomo in the fall, where I’ll major in elementary education. I’ve always had a passion for working with kids, and I’ve decided that I want to become a second-grade teacher. My goal is to come back to teach in the Logansport school corporation because I think it would be amazing to give back to the community that helped me grow up.”

Austin Cunningham, a member of the FFA, speaks on his summer plans.

“My plans for the summer are to finish my last year of 4H, work on my car and to get a factory job,” Cunningham said. As of right now, I don’t plan on going to college, and I’m fully set on finding a Job. Jobs like Transco, Tyson, Subaru, ADM, The Andersons etc.“

Brooklyn Harris is an LHS senior, and she discusses her plans for the future.

“During summer, I’m going to be working and saving up money. I’m also going to Hawaii after graduation,” Harris said. “I plan to spend as much time with my friends as possible before leaving for school. I’m attending the University of Southern Indiana for dental hygiene. It’s in Evansville, which is four hours away, so I won’t see my friends and family very often.”

Aiden Snoeberger is a senior at Logansport High School and discusses his plans for education after graduation.

“My plans for the summer and after graduation are to mostly work,” Snoeberger said. “I’ll try my best to enjoy my summer and hang out with friends, but college is expensive, and I need to work and get work experience. I am going to college, I am going to Purdue University to study Engineering.”

Lily Newell discussed her plans for the summer and after graduation.

“My plans for the summer are to soak up every moment with my friends and spend as much time with my family before I leave for college. I want to make sure I am mentally prepared for this new chapter in my life, so I am going to do as much as I can to prepare myself for leaving home,” Newell said. “For example, later in the summer, I hope to explore Purdue University’s campus more so I can become more comfortable with the new environment. Additionally, I would like to shop for dorm room essentials so I can feel most at home. I also plan to continue working at my two jobs: Starbucks and Muehulhasuen Park!”

No matter what your future holds, congratulations and good luck to the Class of 2025!
