Trump’s Overuse Of Power And Deployment Of The National Guard

Trump is misusing his power and overstepping his bounds

The National Guard has been deployed to contain crime and reduce crime. Yet these actions are unconstitutional. Firstly, the National Guard was formed for disasters, homeland defense, and as a reserve for overseas conflicts. Yet the National Guard is being used as a police force when it is not designed to be used as such.

President Trump is not supposed to have full control of the National Guard. When the system is not supposed to work like that, and yet we are ignoring these crucial facts and allowing the president to do what he pleases. The governor of each state has control over the National Guard of that state. It’s the governor’s call when the National Guard goes into their state. Yet, President Trump is disregarding all of these things and deploying the National Guard into whatever state he pleases.

Our Mr. President Trump is acting like he owns the place when, in fact, he doesn’t. The guy isn’t even supposed to have this much power. But our government is rolling out the red carpet and turning its head whenever Trump does something illegal.

Whilst the National Guard is out on the streets. Our government is ignoring the unconstitutional actions of our president. Well, I shouldn’t say ignoring; they’re just not enforcing the law like they should be.

The National Guard has been authorized to help with immigration detainments and to help law enforcement. Yet with these actions, a wave of destruction has ensued. Not only more destruction just from the National Guard being out on the streets. But the various actions and threats that Trump has made with the National Guard. For example, when Illinois Governor JB Pritzker came out and said, “actions will be met with a response.”

And then Trump responds by basically declaring war on Chicago. And will forcefully be putting the National Guard in Chicago. Not only in Chicago, but all the states the National Guard is in have been forcefully put there by Trump.

Pritzker is a man who is trying to protect the citizens of his state while the National Guard terrorizes many other states. While the National Guard are deployed at the orders of the president. We must stand our ground. Yes, the National Guard is a powerful force, but we as citizens of the U.S. are as powerful with our voices speaking out on these unconstitutional actions of the president.
