Review: “The Super Mario Bros Movie” Dangerous Mushroom Hunt

Illumination Entertainment/Universal Pictures

As of April 20, “The Super Mario Bros. Movie” has made over $1 billion at the box office.

Mario has been around for a long time.  The first version of Mario was “Donkey Kong” in 1981. Mario has become more popular due to its original form styles. “The Mario Super Bros” movie was underway in 2020 and the cast was announced in 2021. In 2023, the movie was finally released.

“The Super Mario Bros. Movie” was good. I like how there was already action at the beginning of the movie. In the beginning, Bowzer and his army land at The Cosmic Cove Galaxy.

They left you wondering what was going to happen next. I did not think they were going to make the movie that way I thought they were going to go all out but they honestly did not. I like how they did add some of the games to some scenes though.

One of my favorite scenes was when Donkey Kong and Mario had their fight battle which is seen in the trailer. This movie overall was good because of the amount of action taking place.  There was not a time that I stepped away from the movie. Although I would not watch the movie all the time, it is something that people will enjoy for a little while.

I was glad we got to see more of Luigi because I rarely saw him in a lot of the games. Luigi was one of my favorite characters from the movie. Someone mentioned that they should make a “Luigi’s Mansion” and I completely agree with that idea. I think that Charlie Day did an amazing job playing Luigi’s part as well.

If there was anything I would change about the movie It would be that it is more like “Paper Mario” Only because it’s a classic. I did like the movie I do hope they make many more movies like it.
