Rain World is a game about a simulated ecosystem of a hostile world. The game makes you take the role of a Slugcat called Survivor, in which you survive new lands where you eat food and hibernate every cycle to escape the titular rain. There are many unique parts of the game, like many unique creatures, lore, and characters. There are three campaigns in the main game and five more in Downpour within the timeline that affect each other. There is also another campaign that is planned to release on March 28, 2025, called “The Watcher.”
In terms of music, it is a five out of five stars. The music is very unique and is really good. It does have some weird names for its songs, like “Grumblebum” and “Else”. The game’s soundtrack can be very beautiful at times. There is “Deep Light”, “Unseen Lands” and “Urban Jungle”.

For the story, characters and lore, it is a five out of five stars. The story of “Rain World” is really good and has a unique story. It has a good setting and a simple intro to every slugcat’s campaign. Its campaigns are shown in an order, but the timeline is in a different order. Within these campaigns, you can play as the speedy Rivulet, a semi-aquatic slugcat, or the agile Saint, a fluffy slugcat with a long tongue far into a snowy future.
For the art style, I will give it a five out of five stars because it has a really cool poster style for its advertisements. It also has in-game sprites, which use procedural animation to give it more life-like animation. The designs of the many creatures are unique, with the most common predator being the lizard. Lizards have many types that are dangerous to come across. The art style in the game is simple.
In terms of difficulty, It is a four out of five stars. It is really hard, but that’s the point. You will die, but it is not the end. You are very low on the food chain, and everything finds slugcats tasty. It can also be scary at times.
For creativity, it is a five stars out of five. The creatures are unique, with many different types. The different looks and colors are magnificent. The world is unique, and you are supposed to get lost in the world for the immersion. It also can be beautiful at times.
