Art Around LHS
This Papier-mâché cat rests in a case on the bridge between the English hallway and the art gallery. The cat has white and mocha-colored fur, along with green eyes. It rests not by itself, but with other similar pieces, including a light brown deer with huge antlers, a white rat with red eyes, and a green flamingo.
Art isn’t only made in class but displayed all throughout the school. It also comes in many forms, such as paintings, sculptures, stained glass, and simple drawings. Art in schools encourages self-expression among students and can potentially build self-confidence. In LHS, paintings can be found on the wall, sculptures in the halls, and included in assignments for classes.
