Six women have been assaulted, and it is suspected that an unnumbered amount of people have been victims of human trafficking by one man. That man is a multi-millionaire and was recently arrested and charged with those allegations. His name is Andrew Tate. His recent rise to fame has come from clips of him on social media giving his controversial opinions. He and his brother, Tristan Tate, were arrested on the night of Dec. 29 in Romania, their current place of residence.

He was banned from all social media due to his statements, but after current Twitter CEO Elon Musk was installed as the new owner, Tate was reinstated on the platform. As of now, his detention has been extended to Feb. 27.

When it comes to school, the majority of people who have heard of him have an opinion of him, whether it be positive or negative. Others, however, are simply neutral.

“I have barely heard about him,” junior Skyla Hayden said. “But, all the things I have heard are bad about him because social media shows him that way.”

“Success for a man comes in many realms. It’s actually nothing to do with being good at your job. Having money, yeah… You don’t need to have to be good at your job to have money.”

The people that have a positive opinion of Tate usually say that he’s a good businessman and has good business advice. However, people with a negative view of him dislike him for his views on women.

“I think he’s a complete idiot,” sophomore Madison Zimmerer said. “Anyone who’s misogynistic enough to say what he’s said is just an idiot. He has no idea what he’s talking about. Anything I’ve seen him say is always something negative about women”

“I was getting on a plane, and I could see through the cockpit that a female was the pilot, and I took a picture and I said, ‘Most women I know can’t even park a car, why is a woman flying my plane?’ and they banned me.” Andrew Tate said.

Yet despite Andrew Tate being labeled as a woman-hater, others see past the labels and look at him for his cunning and perspicacity.

“The man is very intelligent,” senior Mason Raderstorf said. “Not everything he says is smart, but he is very broad. He hits you pretty hard, and he makes you really really think about things.”
