It is October, and in October comes championship season in baseball. Currently, the divisional rounds are being played. The matchups have been great this year. New stars like Corbin Carrol are making their name known as the legends of the game right now, like Clayton Kershaw.

The wild card (wild card is when the lowest-seeded division winner players the lowest-seeded wild card team) rounds were a clean sweep. Every team that one swept the other with a 2-0 win in all wildcard round games. The Twins, Rangers, Diamondbacks, and Phillies all won in the wildcard round. They all advanced to the next round of the playoffs in just two games each winning their series.

The divisional rounds are almost done. The Diamondbacks swept the Dodgers in their NLDS series. The Phillies also defeated the Braves. In the ALDS, the Astros beat the Twins and the Rangers beat the Orioles.

The conference rounds are almost set. The matchups are already decided: Astros versus Rangers and Phillies versus Diamondbacks. Their first game will be played on October 15. In the NLCS series.

The World Series will be determined by the NLCS and ALCS. The first game is set to be played on October 27. The location has yet to be determined as the teams have not yet decided. The current defending World Series winner is still in the running. The Astros are the current defending champions and will play the Rangers in their Conference round. This is what they have been waiting for and working for all season. All are to be determined in the World Series.
