Over this last year, the name TJ Palmer has popped up a lot more in the community, primarily with the younger baseball and softball players. But, he has made an outreach into the community. On Sep. 14, Palmer, with the help of Four County Health, hosted the first annual sports galore at Melbourne Park for families to come out play games, eat, and win prizes.
Various games, such as whiffle ball, football, potato sack races, and more were set up. They also provided multiple food options by giving everyone a ticket for Tate’s dog, or there was also a food truck and the concession stand was open. A variety of raffles were drawn for prizes like skateboards, art kits, and a $200 gift card to Dick’s Sporting Goods.
