Honoring the Brave

A photo essay featuring this year’s Veterans Day program
After being presented with the plaque, Principal Matt Jones, Technical Sergeant Lucy Reyna, seniors Emilia Rozzi, Degan Kitchell and Tate Strong stand for a photo as the Magpie, Tattler, Berry Broadcast, and Pharos-Tribune capture the moment. The Berry Bowl was surrounded by photographers and videographers trying to capture the program.

On Nov. 11, staff, students, faculty, and guests all congregated in the Berry Bowl to celebrate the people who have served and given their lives for our country. The Veterans Day program included the combined choir, the Berrytones, and the band, which played and sang various songs. This year’s speaker was Technical Sergeant Lucy Reyna, who shared her experiences and her book and talked about what her fellow veterans thoughts based on an interview she held with them at their reunion to share other people’s stories.
