How did you get to start playing volleyball?

In third grade, I overheard all of my friends saying they wanted to join the volleyball team so I wanted to.

Who motivates you the most to play volleyball?

My teammates motivate me the most to play.

Indoor volleyball or beach volleyball? Why?

Definitely, indoor volleyball because there is AC.

Do you have any pre-game rituals or handshakes with teammates?

We have a speaker and always sing out loud with the team on the bus and in the locker room.

What is a typical practice like?

Warmups, serving to serve-receive, passing, hitting, and then end with a scrimmage

What do you do outside of volleyball with the team to bond?

After games, we will get together to get a bite to eat.

How tall do you think a volleyball net is?

It has got to be around 6’2.   Actual answer: 7’4

How is communication important in volleyball?

If there is no talking on the court, girls can run into each other or let the ball drop.

Do you play any other sports? If so, what is your favorite?

Track.

What is your favorite memory or accomplishment from volleyball?

When Ambria Gittings went for a ball in the middle of the court, she did the splits.

What advice would you give younger kids about volleyball?

Always make sure to have fun, don’t get down on yourself, and support your teammates no matter what the situation is.

What are you hoping to accomplish this season?

By the end of the season, I hope we are playing like a family and cheering each other on to get better.
