Operation Epic Fury was launched at 1:15 am the morning of Feb. 28. Fury is what the Iranian people felt when the United States and Israeli bombs and missiles were dropped on them. Unleashing a slew of terror and horror among the Iranian people. Not only did we drop bombs, but we also killed innocent Iranian people. We didn’t just kill Iranian people, but also Lebanese people.

The dropping of bombs and missiles came after years of tensions between the United States, Israel and Iran. Not only were there years of tensions but also months of failed diplomatic negotiations between the three countries. These failures of the past have led to mistrust and to seeing Iran as a threat.

In fact, Iran was never a threat in the first place. Iran’s nuclear program wasn’t something that needed to be worried about. This has only brought more stress on the people of the United States but ultimately Iran. Throughout this war, not only have gas prices increased within the U.S. but as well as oil exports. Yet these factors are part of a bigger picture and that bigger picture is that Trump never once went through Congress to initiate this. Trump labeled it as a military operation inherently bypassing Congress’s permission.

If we look at what’s going on and how the events are playing out, this is most definitely a war. In the very first 12 hours, we launched nearly 900 joint strikes. If this were truly just a military operation there would not have been so many. The bombs and missiles from the United States and Israel have created crevices in the ground from where they landed. All for what, to just have control of a singular strait?

The Strait of Hormuz is the largest oil export port in the world. And yet we have killed too many innocent lives to control it. As well within the first 24 hours, a U.S.-Israeli joint strike struck an elementary school killing over 100 children. Why is it that we feel the need to bomb a country into destruction just to gain the things we want?

This wanting and needing of oil and power always puts innocent lives at risk and turns landscapes into battlefields all for the purpose of personal gain. This personal gain is highly unjustified. This entire military operation is highly unjustified. And yet there are thousands of people who are still supporting and backing up this unjustified war and killing of innocents. Not only are they putting innocent lives at risk they are also putting the world at risk of starting another world war.

This doesn’t exclude Iran, they have also done wrong in the years leading up to this military operation. The people of Iran were simply protesting when the Iranian government started attacking their very own people. In January, there were a verified 6,000 deaths from the protests.

Even before this Iran has worked with terrorist groups such as Hezbollah and Hamas which not only makes Iran look more of a threat but also makes Iran terrorists by association and working with these groups.

All three countries are bad in themselves but all three countries have shown the world what kind of bad they have done within this ongoing military operation. All actions of all three countries are inexcusable and should not be ignored. There should be justice not only for the killing of innocent civilians and endangering civilians but also for unjustly dropping bombs and missiles.
