What is Key Club?
Key Club is a club that allows us to give back to the community by giving us community service hours, and it also allows us to gain leadership skills.

What goes on in Key Club?
In Key Club, we have fundraisers to raise money to give back to the community. We had this thing back in December where we threw a party for the kids who are less fortunate or who don’t get a Christmas. We had it at the carousel, and it was a pretty good experience. We got to dress up as superheroes, and the people who helped organize the event ordered pizza. There were gifts that had been donated, and we got to give those to the kids. It was a really nice experience just seeing how happy these kids got when they got a gift.

What should we expect from Key Club?
We have an event coming up called Fairview Falcons. I’m not too sure what it is yet, but we do have that coming up.

What is your favorite part of Key Club?
My favorite part of Key Club is that I am able to give back to the community while doing it with my friends.

What is the usual Key Club meeting like?
We meet at around 8, and there are a lot of us from when it first started. First, we take our attendance, and then Mrs. Gaumer tells us about the new community hour opportunities. She talks about any upcoming fundraisers, and we usually have a meeting about once a month, maybe twice.

What made you want to join Key Club?

Honestly, I didn’t really know what Key Club was in the beginning when I first joined. I just saw a lot of my friends joining it, so I joined. When I started seeing all the community hour opportunities, I thought it was pretty cool how it gave us a lot of opportunities to give back to the community.
