The Berries football team started their season strong two weeks ago going 2-0 , beating Peru (44-0) and Washington (54-0).

“The season is going pretty good. I feel like that can go far this year,” senior Diego Pasley said, “Senior Izak Mock has leadership of the team since he is our quarterback. Senior Grayson Long’s leadership really comes out on the defensive side of the ball.”

The roster consists of 18 seniors, including 2 preseason all-state selections, Jeremiah Miller and Grayson Long.

“The goal for everyone is to play for a state championship,” Pasley said, “ We feel that we have the right amount of talent to make it there and play at Lucas Oil Stadium and win.”

The IHSAA State Championship has been held at Lucas Oil Stadium since 2007.

The Berries football team will face the Kokomo Wildcats on September 2, 2022. Logansport has not beat Kokomo since 2006.

“We are really preparing for Kokomo this week because it will give us a feel of how our season is going to play out,” Pasley said, “They moved to 4a this year so we can meet at the semi-state matchup, but I doubt they will make it.”
