So far, I like that everybody on the Magpie staff is welcoming and very helpful. Since I’ve joined Magpie, it’s been really fun, relaxing, and the homework that’s given isn’t overbearing which is great because it balances well with extracurricular activities that take a lot of time out of my day. My favorite part is getting to hear people’s ideas and seeing their take on different stories because it can be interesting how other people’s minds work. You get to meet new people and make friends with people that encourage you. The Magpie staff provides a great environment that’s friendly and supportive. It also gives constructive criticism but not judgement.
In my free time, I do extracurricular activities: cross country, basketball, and softball. My sports usually fill most of my free time, but when I’m not at practice and games, I’m either hanging out with my friends, doing homework, or trying to salvage my free time to relax. Other than sports and friends, I don’t really do anything else but watch Netflix in bed.
