LHS to Create Military Honor Wall

The wall will honor alumni who have served in the armed forces

The Military Honor Wall will be displayed at Logansport High School to commemorate the loyalty, honor and services of LHS graduates who have sworn the oath to serve in the United States Armed Forces. This tribute extends to individuals who have served in various branches including the Army, Marines, Navy, Air Force, Space Force, Coast Guard and National Guard in capacities ranging from enlistment to commissioned officers, National Guard duty or service in the Reserves.

It will be situated prominently in the main hallway of LHS. The Military Honor Wall will serve as a poignant reminder of the sacrifices made by LHS alumni in uniform safeguarding the freedoms cherished by those who walk the halls of Logansport High School.

“This display embodies the core values of freedom, patriotism and selflessness that are deeply ingrained in the spirit of our school and community,” Matt Jones said. “Our goal with the Military Honor Wall is to ensure that sacrifices and contributions of our alumni in uniform are recognized and honored.”

The “Military Honor Wall will be a reminder of the sacrifices made by those in uniform who safeguard these freedoms for all those who walk the halls of Logansport High School.

“The military wall affects me because my father comes from a family of nine, eight boys and one girl, and six of the boys were in the military,” English teacher Beth Myers said ” I think the Military Wall represents our past and our future.”
