Netflix is constantly updating its library by adding and removing movies and shows. As some licenses are expiring, more than 150 titles, including popular ones, will be removed, such as “Crazy Rich Asians,” “The Martian” and “Mr. Robot,” along with animated films like the “Kung Fu Panda” series, all will be gone in January. Then, in February, films like “Spencer,” “28 Days Later,” “She-Ra” and “The Texas Chainsaw Massacre,” among others, will also be removed.
“Spencer” is being removed on January 31, 2026. “Spencer” is a psychological drama that focuses on Princess Diana during an important Christmas weekend in 1991. At this time, her marriage to Prince Charles is falling apart due to royal pressures and public attention. This situation causes her to experience a mental crisis as she thinks about leaving the royal family, and she finds comfort with her sons, William and Harry.
Feb. 1, 2026, “28 Days Later” is leaving. It’s about a bunch of confused animal rights activists who release a caged chimp that has the “rage virus” from a medical research lab. After a month in a coma, London bike courier Jim wakes up to find his city nearly empty. While trying to escape from the zombie-like victims of the Rage, Jim meets a group of survivors, including Selena and cab driver Frank, and decides to join them on a dangerous journey to what he hopes will be a safe place.
Feb. 21, 2026, “She-Ra” is going to be removed from Netflix. It’s an interesting show about The Princesses of Power on Netflix that tells the story of Adora, a soldier working for the evil Horde. She finds a magical sword that changes her into the famous hero, She-Ra. Adora then teams up with the Rebellion to battle her old bosses, which leads to a big conflict with her best friend Catra, who stays with the Horde.
To replace the removed movies and shows, Netflix is adding over 100 movies and shows, such as “The Rip,” season four of “Bridgerton, “Skyscraper Live” and “Found.” Some of these have already been added, but need to be kept in mind in contrast to the beloved movies Netflix has given up.
“The Rip” was added on Jan. 16, 2026. It’s about a team of police officers in Miami that finds a hidden pile of millions of dollars in cash. This discovery causes a lot of suspicion because outsiders hear about it, and they start to wonder who they can trust.
Season four of “Bridgerton” is getting added on Jan. 29, 2026. It’s about Benedict Bridgerton, who has a love story that feels like Cinderella with Sophie Baek, a clever maid he encounters at a masquerade ball. However, their romance across different social classes faces big challenges, like Sophie’s mean stepmother and her life of servitude. This leads to intense conflicts and surprising discoveries as Benedict looks for his enigmatic “Lady in Silver.” Meanwhile, other members of the Bridgerton family are also dealing with their own love lives, including the changes in Penelope and Colin’s new marriage.
“Skyscraper Live” is going to be added on Jan. 23, 2026. This is a live show that streams at 8 p.m. Eastern time. The show is about Famous climber Alex Honnold, who is trying to be the first person to free solo climb Taiwan’s famous Taipei 101 skyscraper. This tower is 1,667 feet tall, and he will do it during a two-hour live broadcast for the whole world to see. The broadcast will show his real-time challenges, concentration and special way of dealing with extreme risks while climbing this huge city building, which is something he has never done before.
“Found” was added on Jan 2, 2026. It’s a crime series focused on a drama about Gabi Mosely and her team as they look for missing people. The documentary looks into identity and how China’s one-child policy affects people during their quest for answers, while the series showcases unique ways to crack cases that the police have overlooked.
Make sure you can watch some if they are still on, as for the ones that have been removed already, you can find them on different apps to watch on. “Crazy Rich Asians” is on Peacock, “Mr. Robot” is free on Tubi, but with ads, and “The Martian” is on Paramount+. You can also find all or most of them on Prime Video, Apple TV and Fandango at Home.
