While standing in line waiting to buy his ticket to Los Angeles, private investigator Owen Stacy, played by eighth grader Cooper Prifogle, is annoyed by the sound of Nelson Henry’s tapping, played by eighth grader Chris Knapp. Their relationship on stage is very comical in that Nelson is a very easy-going musician, and Owen is an uptight investigator who is annoyed by Nelson not caring about the murders as much as he should.

On February 19, the Logansport Junior High School Drama Club put on a production of “Murder on the 518.” The story is about a bunch of people going to Los Angeles on a train together all for different reasons. Some of the passengers are going to Los Angles for vacations, while others are going for work-related tasks. Everything is fine until a landslide falls on the tracks in front of the train stopping the trip for a while. Through this chaos, the murder of movie star Isabella Madison occurs turning the train ride into a murder mystery. Luckily, private investigator Owen Casey is on this train ride, and he solves the case.
