Jakson Combs

Senior Hannah Army dedicates quite a lot of her time checking names and photos for the Tattler.

Finley Hettinger

Senior Finley Hettinger has spent the last two years on the Tattler staff. Hettinger can often be found running around with a camera in her hands, on the hunt for her next photo. Outside of Tattler, Hettinger is on the volleyball team and also runs track.

When did you join Tattler? How has it influenced you?

I joined Tattler my junior year because I got asked to join by some of the staff members. Being a part of the staff is awesome. The Tattler class is not just a class, but it’s more like a second family. The staff is a great influence. Everyone helps everyone out. There is never a dull moment.

What is your role on the team?

My role as part of the Tattler is being in charge of the Century Career Center spread, and also, I am in charge of the grocery list.

What is daily life like in the Tattler room?

Daily life in the Tattler room described in one word is spontaneous. I never know what to expect when I walk in there 4th period, but I know every day I go in there I will at least have a good laugh for the day.

What is your favorite part of Tattler?

My favorite part of Tattler is definitely our field trips. When going on field trips, we really get to learn more about each other, and that is when we put our work aside and just get to enjoy each other’s company.

What is going on in Tattler right now?

Right now in Tattler, we just finished the book and submitted it. So, that is definitely a relief for all of the staff. Now, we are working on the supplement and picking out our Spring spreads so that way we can finish the year out strong.

Hannah Army

Besides being in Magpie, senior Hannah Army has also been a part of the Tattler staff for the past two years. She has not only gained bonds she will have for life, but also a long-lasting love for taking photos. Outside of Tattler, Army partook in SNL and even ran as a candidate for Homecoming for Magpie.

When did you join Tattler? How has it influenced you?

I joined Tattler as a junior, and it was the best decision I’ve ever made. I always loved the idea of helping with the yearbook, so I talked to teachers and joined Tattler.

What is your role on the team?

My role on the Tattler staff is ads for the yearbook. I contact the businesses that bought an ad, get their photos or business cards and add them to the yearbook. That is mainly my daily life in the Tattler room, also. I will leave the class to make phone calls and set up times and dates to get their photo taken for the ad. If I’m not making a phone call, I am adding their business photos that I already took to the yearbook ad page.

What is daily life like in the Tattler room?

I always get so happy when I walk into the Tattler room. No matter how bad my day is, the staff always puts a smile on my face, and I’m very grateful for every single member apart of Tattler.

What is your favorite part of Tattler?

My favorite part of Tattler is the bond we all have together and taking pictures of school events like sports, clubs and activities during the school year. As a senior, leaving the Tattler staff will be the hardest part of graduation. If you ever think about being on staff, join. You won’t regret a thing.

What is going on in Tattler right now?

Now that the first part of the book is done, we all look through it and check if names are spelled right, grammar check, if pictures look good, etc. Once the book has been checked by every staff member, Mrs. Myers will also go through it with us. Once it’s all done, Mrs. Myers will send the pages to Jostens. Now, since we turned it in, it doesn’t mean the yearbook is done just yet. We go and take photos of Spring sports and activities that happen during springtime. We call this the supplement. It gets sent in, and we add them to the back of the yearbook to make it completed. Then, when we get them all in, we check them to make sure they look good to add to the supplements and start handing them out in May.
