What is your favorite song?
I like “Me and Your Mama” by Childish Gambino. The beat at first is calm, and later at the end the beat, bass go up. The instruments make the song unique and make me want to listen to it every day. Gambino’s vocals and lyrics felt the song with his voice fitting in with the instrument. The song was probably made in heaven. I really am in love with that song.
Whose your favorite artist?
I would say Lady Gaga because she’s extremely talented in her own way. Many people don’t like her because people say her outfits are out of pocket, and many people think every time she sings it means something demonic. It’s not, so I guess people just don’t like the idea of doing something that not a lot of people do.
Do you agree with what people say about her (Lady Gaga) and how her outfits are “demonic?”
No, because I don’t know why they are taking because they are saying oh this and that, and they are talking badly about people when there are people that do worse, like Chris Brown.
What are your top three music genres?
It would be jazz, pop and electric pop because every single time I listen to these genres it eases my mind. Because every single time I have a breakdown, it eases my mind, and it soothes my mind like when I’m stressed out from all the school work, and I feel stressed out. I listen to music, and it makes me feel better. It makes me feel whole, sometimes more whole than I’d admit sometimes.
If aliens landed on Earth and asked you for a song recommendation, what song would you recommend?
I would recommend “Leave the Door Open” by Slik Sonic. It’s a good song because it’s about love, and I like Bruno Mars’ lyrics and how deep into love and feelings. I feel like aliens would really like this music because, give or take, their life is probably not the most normal, and love on this earth is normal. So, they will most likely get to experience one of the happiest things on earth, which is love, and it would soothe their minds from getting by humans with all the vocals that are combined, and it’s like heaven.”
If you had a chance to go back in time and listen to a song for the first time, what song would you pick and why?
‘The Boy Is Mine” by Brandy and Monica, because the first time I listened to it, I fell in love with their vocals, and I loved the music video. I love how Brandy and Monica come together because many singers don’t match each other’s vocals, but they do.
If you could listen to one genre for the rest of your life, what genre and why?
Pop, because the beat tends to be more upbeat, and they are all different based on the singer. But, I like how it’s all different, and it makes me happy when I listen to it.
You mentioned that you mostly listened to Lady Gaga. When did you start discovering her music?
I would say probably when I was in sixth or seventh grade because my older sister used to play it for me. Well, actually, at first I didn’t really like it because I was like what. Then, I started to get a hold of it, and I started to listen to it more. Then, I started to like it.
What song made you interested in Lady Gaga, and why?
Well, obviously “Judas” because you know how I said before how many people thought it was demonic. Then, I was like, oh my god, and started thinking she was demonic. But, this Lady does not show that. When I listened to that song, it did not show that, and I just enjoyed it a lot and stopped caring about what people say.”
