With SAT season rolling around the corner, many LHS juniors are in distress about what is to come. The SAT officially marks the first step in the college admissions journey, but it is far from being the largest obstacle when applying to college. Confusion is a common symptom among all victims of the college application process, and questions are inevitable. Sydney Vo is a senior at LHS and is one of the Editor-in-Chiefs of Magpie. This is their fourth year on staff. They are a member of the National Honor Society and the Society of Asian Culture, alongside being the president of the Chinese Club. In their free time, they enjoy reading and doomscrolling Twitter.
Golda Kitchell, Editor-in-Chief
Golda “Goldie” Kitchell is a senior at LHS. She has always loved to write, but took on photography when joining the Magpie. Goldie enjoys sportswriting and columns, but dabbles in all categories. Magpie creates many opportunities for her to develop her social skills and create friends among the staff. Outside of Magpie, Goldie is involved in basketball, tennis, Chinese Club, S.A.F.E. Club, Key Club, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, SubDebs, S.A.D.D. Club, Bring Change to Mind, Pep Club, and was elected senior class treasurer. In her free time, she enjoys playing the New York Times Crossword with her dad and watching “Jeopardy!” with her two cats, Andy and Smudge.
