As the year of the dragon strolls on, Logansport High School’s Chinese Club and class prepared a performance for the public. This performance ranged from the arts of dancing, singing, music, and modeling. Apart from the performance, stalls of food, clothes, and silly items were being sold that night.

As of March 13, 2024, the content app TikTok is in limbo in the Senate after a bill made it through the House of Representatives banning it. If the ban passes through the Senate,, president Joe Biden can either sign the ban or veto it.

The Very Berry Concession Stands
During the wintertime, the entrance of Georgetown Road is a pretty sight. Eagles, cardinals, starlings and crows are usually found in the bare trees, or soaring through the air over the freezing river. The roads were salted and scraped since theres a small community of neighbors.

Switchin' It Up
Loteria is a game held close by the Hispanic community. It resembles American Bingo, but instead of numbers, there are pictures, and instead of daubers, beans are used. Depending on where the game is played, the card reader can call out the title on the card or say a small poem. For example, for the “El Borracho (The Drunkard)” card, the saying is “A que borracho tan necio ya no lo puedo aguantar,” which translates to That annoying drunkard that I cannot stand anymore.

This monkey is adorned with small glasses, a big red mouth, and a scarf accompanied by multiple other knitted and sewn works. English teacher Beth Myers has many handmade works for display inside the gallery. The average time it takes for knitted works to be completed averages around 20 working hours.

Paintings line the walls of the stairway to the upstairs of Black Dog. The upstairs is named Black Dog Studios and has spaces open for small businesses to operate out of.

Dayra Rostro-Ramirez, Content Creator
Sophomore Dayra Rostro-Ramirez is in her second semester on Magpie as a content creator and can’t wait to take many more photos for Magpie. Dayra is currently in six clubs, including the Student Council, and plays tennis. Outside of school, she enjoys learning new languages, including German, Chinese and Spanish. She also enjoys listening to music as well as writing for fun.
Veda Fagner
Veda Fagner, Content Creator
Veda Fagner is a sophomore. This is her second year on staff, where she mainly works as a cartoonist, photographer and videographer. She loves the class and the people in it. She is excited for another year. Outside of Magpie, Veda is also involved in the Berry Broadcast, Art Club, Travel Club, Drama Club, McHale Tech Crew and Speech Team.
