War on Iran: American-Israeli Alliance Sets Sights on Iranian Regime

As announced by U.S. President Donald Trump, America and Israel are set to launch “major combat operations” against Iran, initiating their crusade with Tehran, the capital of Iran

Early Saturday morning, Iranian citizens flooded the streets of Tehran to find the skies overhead painted with smoke and pollution. Air raid sirens echoed throughout the decimated city. Traffic blocked off all exits of the city, making escape from the attacks virtually impossible. Tehran became a city under attack in a matter of minutes. However, Tehran was not the only city targeted by the U.S. and Israel air strikes.

In southern Iran, an elementary school was struck. At its minimum value, the death toll is estimated to be 40 fatalities.

These air strikes were coordinated by the U.S. and Israel after weeks of global speculation, and the set of attacks serve as the successor to those launched during June 2025. The 12-day conflict set forth by U.S. President Donald Trump focused primarily on eradicating Iran’s nuclear and missile resources.

Since taking office in January 2025, President Trump has met with the Prime Minister of Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu, at least seven times to discuss the war currently plaguing the Middle East. The two leaders have presented a unified front in regards to the Iranian conflict and, in accordance, the U.S. and Israel militaries were coordinated in their attacks early Saturday.

During the early stages of the joint American-Israeli attacks, Trump released a video statement directed to not only American citizens but also those in Iran. The video lasted for a duration of eight minutes and concluded with Trump solely addressing Iranian citizens, whom he referred to as the “great proud people of Iran” while urging them to overthrow their totalitarian government.

On a purely national scale, the strikes from the U.S. and Israel arrived shortly after the development of much more national conflicts – the death of critical Mexican drug lord El Mencho and the unstable ceasefire in Gaza respectively. Saturday’s air raid solidified America’s stance in global conflicts in the face of those already affecting the nation.

As for the citizens of Iran, a division rippled throughout the country, separating those in opposition of the ensuing conflict and those in favor of the potential overthrow of their totalitarian leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

Late Saturday night, the Supreme Leader of Iran, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei fell. Iranian media outlets reported Khamenei’s death, which is currently speculated to be in direct accordance to the American-Israeli joint attacks, shortly prior to 11:00 PM EST. His reign over the nation of Iran began in 1989 and lasted nearly forty years.

Following the death of such an authoritative presence in the lives of millions, the future of the nation remains uncertain and in control of not only its citizens but the foreign countries looming overhead, and should they heed the call of President Trump, a new era will dawn in Iran – one that has been festering since Ayatollah first seized control in 1989.

On Sunday, it was reported that a red flag had been hoisted on top of the Jamkaron Mosque. In Iranian culture, the color symbolizes revenge. Since Saturday’s air raids, Iran has begun to fire back at the U.S. and Israel, targeting the former’s military bases in the Gulf region. President Trump has not yet formally addressed the American people regarding Iran’s retaliatory strikes.
