Senior Leah Alder is a co-managing editor on the Magpie staff and has been a member for four years. She is also a member of many extracurriculars, including Swing Choir, Drama Club, NHS, etc. She loves Dr. Pepper, Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups and K-pop, especially BTS. She hopes everyone loves the content Magpie produces and supports BTS in their every endeavor as she does every day.

American singer and actress Miley Cyrus gained popularity starring in the show. Her character lives a split life. In the show, she appears as a typical teenager to most of her peers, but when they're not looking, she transforms into a famous pop singer. The show received 5.4 million views and was ranked one of the highest-viewed shows on Disney Channel.

J-Hope, also known as, Jung Ho-Seok, is a South Korean music artist. J-Hope can rap, dance, write songs, sing and produce records. In 2013, he publicly announced himself as a member of the South Korean boy band BTS. Before debuting with BTS, J-Hope was part of a dance team called Neuron and took dance classes for 6 years at Gwangju Music Academy. He has a degree in Broadcasting and Entertainment from Global Cyber University. J-Hope is known to be energetic with tone and upbeat performances.

“10 Things I Hate About You” is a 1999 film that follows the character Kat Stratford during her senior year. Her abrasive personality pushes away any classmates from wanting to interact with her. While this does not bother her or her father, it prevents her younger sister from experiencing the full potential of being a teenager. Kat’s sister is desperate to have a boyfriend. So, she finds a way to keep one while also finding Kat one too. This film earned more than $8 million in its opening weekend and finished second at the box office the year it was released.

Jeopardy! is a game show where answers are given first and contestants supply the questions. Recently, one of Logansport's own, Sarah Cahalan, was able to participate in the show. According to Cahalan herself, "In the three weeks between getting the call and going to film, I worked pretty hard. My boss gave me most of that time off from work, so I spent almost all my time studying: watching old episodes, making flashcards on things like U.S. presidents and world capitals, and taking lots of Sporcle quizzes." She was able to get a second-place finish and brought home $2,000 along with memories and new friends.
